The Learner-centred approach

In the video below, Winnipeg High School teachers describe a teacher-student collaborative approach to education (Canadian Education Association, 2013). It is flexible, dynamic, and has a basis in Progressive philosophy. It is often associated with inquiry-based learning and the self-actualization of students intellectually and emotionally. The teacher acts as a facilitator or guide and the relationship between teacher and students can generate incredible engagement and positive outcomes.
